Chai this week has been pretty crazy!!!! So first off, I would like to let all of you know who my son is. . .Elder Ememem. . .or for short M&M haha!!!!! He's from Nigeria and he is about 21 years old. He has about 4 sibling in his family and he is a child of record (he was born to members of the church). He grew up in the church, but he has an interesting background to say the least haha!!!!

So the week!!!! So when it came to Tuesday morning I woke up and got ready. I called a member to come and pick me up, but what I didn't take into account is that Ghanaian people are just FAKE!!!!! So, I got to the mission home later than everyone else and it was for the trainers to be there and to have their training on how to train our people. I saw a lot of my fellow missionary friends there so that was so cool!!!! We got root beer floats after our training and then we met the new missionaries and we all got pizza. President then assigned us to our new companions. I received Elder Ememem and we took some pictures. We left for Anyaa and he was just tired. He fell asleep on the way back. We went and dropped our stuff off and then we went out. I showed him a little of the area and it was nice.
Wednesday was just a hassle. So we all went to New Gbawe and got to the church. The other elders were late and we had to go to their apartment because they are just fake. We had DCM there and they just complained about everything. Glad I'm not in that apartment otherwise I'd kill them. So we left and we came back to Anyaa. We got food at the market and we came back. Elder Ememem isn't very used to the missionary life, but he'll learn. We left and saw some few people and came back to study from something called the 12 week program. That is for new missionaries who are entering the field and it helps both trainer and trainee to learn about missionary work and working as a companionship.
Thursday we taught Janet. She's doing good and she likes the Book of Mormon a lot!!! Hopefully she'll become serious and come to church. We then went to a Young Single Adult activity. . .the point of it was to have them bring their friends who were not LDS, but they failed most plainly. We were trapped there cuz of the rain and we just sat there for hours. We left and went to the apartment that night.
Friday was okay. We had weekly planning and that was aight. It is hard as a trainer because I am literally planning for everything, but Ememem is good at coming in on lessons and helping me teach. We went to Ablekuma and it started pouring like no other!!!!! We were stuck under a little story building for like 2 hours. We then went and saw Azuma and brother Nunoo. So Azuma is forming an amazing testimony, but the fact is that it's a crazy experience that we Americans would never believe, but you'd be surprised of the faith of the people. So Azuma proclaims that he has had a vision. Says that he knows that the church is true because and angel of the Lord told him. So, obviously I know what all of you are thinking right now, "Stockton has lost his mind!" But, the truth is, that people here believe very strongly in visions and things like that. It is part of their culture. It works for us so that's cool with me!!
So Saturday was the same. We saw a lady named Mary who just asked us so many questions, I believe that she could be an amazing investigator!!!!!! So we then went and saw some more people like Belinda. So she has a problem with the Word of Wisdom cuz she is drinking alcohol so that isn't good. We left and we saw a member later that day.
Sunday was just bleh!!!!!! So we went to church and the new missionaries bore their testimonies. Elder Hall is now the District Leader and he is also companions with Elder Seninde. So yeah, they did that and we didn't have anyone come to church. We came back and Ememem fell asleep for forever and I just sat and did some washing with my washing plunger. We went out and we saw an old investigator named Wofa Kweku. We haven't taught him in days and it's crazy!!!! We just taught him a little of the Restoration again and he said he wanted us to come by next week. We left and we contacted a girl named Rebeccah. For her she works in a maternity clinic and we just talked to her a little bit about the Restoration. We then saw Jacob and had a cool gospel discussion that I was just the cool judge in it. I was just there and like it was crazy cuz we taught about this stuff before, and I remembered a lot of the talking the Elder Koetting and I did!!!! We talked to him and we will continue that later on haha!!!
As for today, we went to the mall and we just enjoyed. I got some Alfredo sauce and I am going o enjoy tonight!!!! I also got a pizza and chai Nigerians are just strange and just annoying to be around, luckily it's just Ememem in the apartment haha!!!!!
Hope you all have had an amazing week and I hope you all are safe and enjoying!!!! Stay amazing!!!!
From,
Elder Stockton Smith
