Well just a few sweet things to talk about for the week. So as for things here in Anyaa, things are going well. So on Tuesday we went out and saw a guy named Prince, we are hoping to baptize him this week even and it's just craziness to say the least. We will have to power teach him everything just to prepare him for his baptism. We were coming back and turn out that Ememem decided to "drift" park his bike in the gutter haha!!!!! So that was funny. We left and came back to park our bikes. We left for Ablekum and we have so many people to see there!!! Chai the work there is beyond crazy!!!! So we went and tried to see as many people as we possibly could!!! We went around and met a few people and that was good. We left and came back to teach Livingston, but trying to teach with loud music is not easy at all.
Wednesday we had DCM and that was aight, but it doesn't help that Ememem sucks with time and we were late. We learned a few cool things there and then left. We went out to Pentacost to teach sister Agata. She is the wife of brother Elvanyo. She accepted a baptismal date for the 17th of September, I believe. We sat and taught her so that was nice. We left and went to visit the Dosseh family and that was cool. The really cool part was that after we saw them we were coming back and we ran into an old friend. . .ARABA!!!!!! We were coming back and I looked in their compound and I saw her coming to get the gate! We caught her and she was so surprised to see us!!! Mainly me, but you get what I mean haha!!! We went in and saw her mother and we talked for a bit. We learned that they wanted us to come and see them more so we'll do that one for sure. We left for Anyaa Market and we taught Isaac. Then we left and went home.
Thursday was aight. We received a text from one of our investigators named Delfina. She told us that her parents don't want us to come around to see her anymore so we son't go by, but we'll say hi when we're passing. We went out and saw a girl named Dorkus at Ablekuma. We taught her and she is pretty cool. We left and taught a lady named Aunty Gladise and she is amazing!!!! She ways she wants to join us and that she'll visit us so that's sweet!!!! We left and taught Rhoda and Eric. They are new people we met and they are pretty cool. We sat there and helped her pound fufu so that was ok. We shared a small scriptural thought and then we left. We came to see Livington, but chai he was so stubborn about one gospel topic that I'm too tired to bring up right now. So that was that day.
Friday we got up and did weekly planning and then went out to see Prince. We had a good lesson with him and he says he'll come to church on Sunday. We left and parked our bikes. When we were coming to get a tro tro we saw a lot of people dancing sponsoring Coca Cola, I just wanted to join in to be honest haha! Reminded me of the line dances we would do at church dances. So we left for Pentacost and taught Agata. She's doing well with Ememem teaching her in Pidgin so that's good. We left and went to Agapey Down. We went and taught Mary and that was cool, she has a lot of questions of the Book of Mormon and she wants to learn more about it so we taught her more of it. We left and came back and had a better lesson with Livingston talking about President Thomas S. Monson.
Typical tro tros in Ghana |
Saturday was nice because I went on exchange with Elder Hall!!!! We went into their area and Ememem took over in our areas so that was good. We went out and tried to see people, but they weren't around so we left and saw a guy named Dr. Kessey. For him, he takes care of missionaries coming into Ghana and weirdly enough I never met him haha!!! We received food and left after we talked to them. We left and contacted these two hair salon people. So that was cool. Fostina and Joyce, both of them know about the church through other people and they have heard a lot about the church so that was cool. We taught them the whole Restoration and it was cool. We left and taught a guy named Divine!!!! Chai he is so sweet!!! We had a good time teaching him both the Plan of Salvation and the Restoration. . .in that order haha!!! We left and got pizza and it was sweet!!!! We came back and I started my wash. Ememem and Nnachi came back and seems that Ememem doesn't like working with him, but he's a good guy for Ememem so that's good, just not the best teacher haha!!!! So that was that.
Sunday was just a train wreck to say the least!!! So we got up and Ememem was so slow getting ready for church, we were late and we almost missed the sacrament which made me mad! We luckily had Isaac and Francis show up for their confirmation. . .CHAI it made me so happy!!!! I spent the rest of church putting their records into the church system and that was stressful. We had a member celebrate his birthday there and it was nice. We left and got food at the apartment. We left for Ablekuma and we met with Eric. We taught him and it was nice. We then left to see Nunoo, who was the same guy to celebrate his birthday and that was nice. So yeah, we did that and left. We came back and yeah.
More than anything, Africans just don't value time, it just annoys me to say the least, but you get used to it. We are just chugging along until I finish his training haha. Things in Anyaa are pretty sweet to say the least. Bummer that I'm leaving here in a few weeks, so I'm depressed about that.
Hope you all had an amazing week!!!! Remember to stay AMAZING!!!!! Sorry I can't sent photos, I don't really trust computers here anymore so I'll find a good cafe to send them when I can haha.

Elder Stockton Smith
