Hey everyone!!! Chai time is flying!!!!
20 months on mission for Tuesday. . .chai time has flown by! So as for things going on it is pretty cool. We had a full day on Tuesday as well with traveling to see Prince. We went and taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a nutshell because we don't have a lot of time with him cuz he's super busy. We left and went to Ablekuma U-Turn. We met a lady named Sharlot and she's alright, just some odd questions that we answered and things like that. We left and met a girl named Gift. For her, she is someone that Ememem and Nnachi contacted and that was cool. She has two kids and it's pretty cool to see her. She sat down and has a great understanding of all these fake churches and it's nuts!!!! So we taught her and left. We went to see Rhoda and she is doing well. She loves to go off on other things, but luckily we were able to bring her back to the topic for a few important topical things. We taught her and left; we unfortunately didn't have time to see anyone else so we came home.
So as for Wednesday that was ok. We had DCM and it was nice. We left and went to Pentacost and taught a girl named Better. She was a lady we contacted and that was cool. We taught her and it was nice. We left and literally spent a lot of time going and finding more people that we could go and teach. So we went and did that and then we went to see the Dosseh family. We sat there and we shared a small scriptural message for them. We came back and taught Livingston. For him, we went into the pamphlet of the Testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith and it was super cool. He has a strong desire to learn more about Joseph Smith and it is really amazing to see how much he is learning. We taught him and then went home.
Thursday we had interviews with President Simpsom. . .chai he's the best!!! So he said that I would most likely leave Anyaa, but there is a chance that I would stay in Anyaa and die there. He's seen a lot of good work come out of Anyaa from Koetting and I and now Ememem and I. He still doesn't know, but he says we'll see how things work out. We left and came back to see people in Ablekuma. We saw Aunty Gladise and she's cool as always, and we had a good lesson with her, but we figured out that she's a leader in her church so that's a bummer. We left and saw Rhoda. We had a good lesson, but she is having trouble believing in Joseph Smith and also the Godhead so that's a bummer, but we will work with her on that one. We left and taught James a little about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. he is somehow stubborn so that's annoying. So yeah, we left and came back hom cuz no one else was available.
Friday was aight. We got up and turns out that we had to go meet someone that morning at like 7:30 cuz they called us and told us to meet him. His name is O.J. and we met him at the chapel. For him, he was a referral from church headquarters and he seems pretty cool. We taught him and he still needs some work, but it's ok. We came back and planned. We went out to Pentacost and that is where everything got crazy! So we taught Better again and she's doing well. We left and we decided to go by some of the people that we contacted on Wednesday. So we went and contacted this whole compound and we taught all of them. Like 5 serious people starring and listening to us, it was insane!!!!!! So we taught them and left for Agapey Down. We went and taught Mary and she's doing well, the part that I like is that she asks us good questions and that she's progressing more and more. We left and came back to see Livingston. We continued in the pamphlet of Joseph Smith and that was good. We came home and yeah.
Saturday was just strange. We got up and I did a huge list of scriptures for Rhoda to study about the Godhead and also did a good study in the Book of Mormon. Things are going somehow fine in the missionary life to say the least when it comes to helping people understand only through the Bible. We left and went to see Gift. She was a little busy, but we taught her a little bit so she could think about something for the next time. We left and when we were coming back Beatrice ran away when we saw her. We asked her friend why she left and she told us her pastor told her not to listen to us anymore,. I gotta say that pastors in Ghana are so FAKE!!!!!!! So we left and continued on. We went and taught a sister named Adjima and she's super cool!!! She has a great understanding of the apostasy and the fact that there are so many fake churches in the world! So we taught her and we left. We tried to see other people, but they weren't around. We came back home and just kind of made calls that night for other people.
Sunday was ok. We went to church and none of our investigators were there so that made me really sad. We had a good service and came home. We ate, we left, and I showed Ememem more of the areas in Awoshie. Koetting knows how bad Awoshie got for us, mainly cuz we lost our investigators there. When we went I showed him the places of old investigators and we left to see a member named Israel. We taught his sister Sherry and that was pretty cool. We left and came back in the rain so that was fun. And well, that about wraps the week up.
Well, I hope that all of you have had an amazing week and that you are continuing to grow. Can't wait to hear from you all and to know how you are doing!!!!
From,
Elder Stockton Smith
