So this week, it has been interesting. We had a holiday after Christmas known as Boxing Day. That day is when the people give people gifts. It's practically like Christmas, but more fake. We had some fun running around trying to find a good cafe so yeah. After we had the chance to cafe we went to a member's house. We had some food and just chilled for a bit. It was nice.
This week has been strange to say the least. We have been going around trying to find more investigators, but it isn't working out as well as we thought. We have been able to visit with some more investigators this week and help them in progressing. One of my personal favorites is Ruth. She knew Elder Hunt and Koetting before I was here. We have been teaching her and it has been nice. We tried to extend a baptism date to her, but it has just been crazy. We hope to keep teaching her and get her baptized in February. We also have an investigator named Wisdom who has that same date. We have been seeing him a few times, but it has been hard for him to keep commitments. We have fortunately had some success in working more with some investigators than others. Florence for instance has not been very serious lately. She avoids us and our calls and it's super annoying. We may just drop her to be honest.
Um, things are crazy to say the least. We had a few lessons this week and it has been pretty sweet. We have a new missionary in our midst. . .Elder Atchwi!!!!!!!!!!!! He's a Ghanaian who was serving his mission in Nigeria, but had to come home for medical reasons. He is now serving herein Anyaa with us. He knows Twi and enjoys serving the Lord.
We had an activity for New Year's at the Church this last Friday and it was stupid!!!!!!!! They practically put us missionaries in charge and they had us set everything up at the last minute because they didn't tell us anything. We did that, and I feel like it was pretty good. That New Year's though was pretty fun haha!!!!!!! We had some fun staying up and waiting to count down to the New Year's celebration. The people in Ghana celebrate like crazy!!!! They had tons of fireworks and they just had a lot of fun. We stayed up and watched some fireworks so that was cool. We have had a lot of fun working with the people here and just enjoying haha!!!!! Elder Koetting is definitely an improvement from what I came from, I'm so so sooooooo grateful to be here and to press forward in doing the Lord's work!!!!!!
